We are in a battle–you are not alone–for all of God’s people fight this same fight.

Ephesians 6:12: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

The devil is out to destroy us through temptations and lies and deceptions in our minds! Don’t let this scare you. Make up your mind not to give up!

God tells us in Colossians 3:2 to “Set our minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

We usually find it difficult to think of the wonderful heavenly and eternal things above. The reason is that the demonic powers are fighting to keep their place in our minds (and our thinking).

Let’s call upon God’s grace in the Name of Jesus, and He will grant us the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome every evil tendency fully.

Renewing our minds is a process. We all fail at one time or another but don’t give up! Continue claiming what belongs to you (our minds and our thinking belongs to us) and Jesus will enable us to overcome the wiles of the devil so that we can keep setting our minds on heavenly things in eternity rather than being distracted by the deceptions of the devil.
