Yes, Bless the Lord, Its a new year. We all want good things to happen but we forget that both good and bad can befall us this year.

Many of us are concerned only about the good things. We are not expectant of the disappointments that will befall us this year. We shouldn’t be, but if we look to God when they happen, we will realise that he knows what he is doing and he knows where he is taking us so we should not feel down or angry when the bad days come this year.

Keep in mind that suffering is also part of preparation, meaning that the bad days coming this year are possibly part of the new thing that God is doing.

Allow him to lead you, especially out of your comfort zone into places you might not be willing to go at first but as you obey; he will do new things.

God is always faithful. Watch him make ways in the wilderness and rivers where there are deserts!
