Biblical Affirmations.

Dearly beloved, may the mercies of Christ be with you always.

We’re focusing on learning practical ways we can better our spiritual and mental health – by declaring the promises of God through affirmations. In New Age Terminology, affirmations refer primarily to the practice of positive thinking and self-empowerment—fostering a belief that “a positive mental attitude supported by affirmations will achieve success in anything.”

Biblical Affirmations, on the other hand, promote a practice of right believing and divine empowerment; not through “self” but through the correct application and declaration of the promises of God.

Many christians suffer from low self esteem, prideful, lustful, revengeful thinking and many other negative mindsets fed to them by the systems of the world but we through scriptural affirmations; we can combat and defeat negative/worldly mindsets.

Proverbs 18:21 [AMP]

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.

5Death and life are in the power of our tongue. We must learn to speak the solutions to our problems based on the promises in God’s word, instead of injecting more problems into our situations when we speak using worldly mindsets.

Affirmations usually contain encouraging and inspirational words! However, Christian Affirmations are very powerful because the user is declaring God’s Word! Biblical Affirmations fill us with faith and confidence by helping us believe in God’s promises for our lives! Daily declaration of the promises of God as found in scripture equips us with the tools to defeat worldly mindsets.

Scripture based affirmations encourage you to remain thankful and appreciative of all of your blessings! These promises remind us that we are not self sufficient — we need God to help us change our attitudes and live lifestyles of holiness and righteousness.

A practical way to declare affirmations is to go through them slowly at the start of your day, be sure to read and meditate on the bible verses and then repeat the affirmations throughout the day, at least three times a day, (an easy way to do this is to say an affirmation whenever you have a meal or snack/drink etc.) this entrenches the affirmation into your thinking and that’s a great start to renewing your mind.

Romans 12:2 [AMP]

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

However, we must remain mindful of the fact that affirmations cannot bring salvation. For biblical affirmations to actually work, one must have already received salvation through an oral confession and inward belief of the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord (Romans 10:9-10). Reading and repeating scriptural affirmations daily will be of no effect to those who don’t truly believe everything the bible stands for.

Make sure to check this page from time to time throughout the month. All affirmations will be subsequently linked to this page once they are published separately on the website.
