Women in Church is a section of TG4Ji that aims to capture the interactions which occur between women and the body of Christ. Our approach is based on Jesus’ interaction with the woman at the well in John 4.
Our first discussion was a 3-week series on the question:
Should women speak in church? / Is it shameful for a woman to speak in church?
In unpacking these questions, we examined the following key points:
- The Cultural Context
- The Greek Lexonic Transliterations/Translations
- Scholarly Interpretations & Opinions
- Biblical Applications & Context
Part 1: Women: The Ruckus in 1 Corinthians 14
Part 2: Is it Shameful for a Woman to speak in Church?
Part 3: Is it Shameful for a Woman to speak in Church? (2)
Our second discussion was on the rise of feminism and how it affects the modern Christian woman.
Part 1: Feminism – Is it Biblical?
Part 2: Feminism & The Proverbs 31 Woman
