Our quote for today is from Ralph Waldo Emerson and it mirrors 1 John 4:4 which says

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Know that what lies behind us and what lies before us become small matters when we really know what lies within us and what we are able to do because we know that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

What lies behind us is past so we should not worry about changing it and what lies before us has not yet come, so we should simply look forward to it, knowing that because we have greater in us, we will be able to overcome anything that comes our way. Christ has conquered all for us, we just need to walk in our victory.
