The Gossip For Jesus Initiative (TG4Ji) is all about sharing the good news of Christ’s sacrifice. Jesus has been misunderstood over the years due to several myths and corruptions of the gospel. Our goal is to transform society and correct these misunderstandings.

First, we take the purpose of Jesus in Luke 4:18–19 as our own. To achieve this purpose, we run cycles focusing on the Birth, Death, Resurrection and Ministry of Jesus. These things make the “4” in TG4Ji.

We truly believe that an understanding of these things is essential for Christians to defend, walk and grow in their faith. This is one of the reasons why our byline is Be Enlightened, no longer shall God’s people perish for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)

Our vision is taken from the Pauline prayer found in Ephesians 1:17-19a. We believe that this prayer contains key things can equip Christians to bring transformation to society through the right knowledge of Christ Jesus.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might.

From this, our mission statement can be broken down into the following points:

1/ To be enlightened, i.e. the eyes of our hearts may be flooded with light by the Holy Spirit, which dispels every darkness.

2/ To receive from God the father, a Spirit of wisdom and revelation that gives us an intimate and personal insight into the true knowledge of Him through our Lord Jesus Christ.

3/ To realise and cherish the hope and confident expectation of His return (the second coming).

4/ To experience the immeasurable and unlimited greatness of God’s active power, which is available to all who believe.

5/ That through 1 – 4 every Christian will be equipped to achieve the purpose for which God has called them and receive the riches of their glorious inheritance (spiritual and physical blessings).

What We Believe

We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, its primacy above all other revelation and its foremost importance in the training of every believer. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21, Revelation 22:18-19)

We believe in the doctrine of repentance from dead works, baptisms, faith toward God, the laying on of hands by elders, the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment. (Hebrews 6:1-2)

We believe in a Triune God that bears record in heaven: The Father (YHWH), Jesus (Christ, the Messiah) and the Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7 [KJV], II Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 28:19)
