This song is a reminder that there will be troubles in life but because we have Jesus, it is well, it is well with our souls no matter what happens.

The bible tells us to fear the one that can kill both body and soul, so no matter all that happens to us in this life, that is just about our earthly body, we have Jesus, so it is well with our soul and we have absolutely nothing to worry about.

When I think about the lyrics of this hymn, I truly feel peace like a river attending to my soul, that’s the peace of the Lord which surpasses all understanding, peace that brings joy without repentance and when we accept this peace and accept that we have nothing to fear, we sleep soundly.

So Come on, Lets worship the Lord because it is well with with our soul.
